Thisfreakingclose...week 42

I'm a little late in getting my update in this week. Went to my WI on Thursday and I was sooooooo close to getting my 75 lbs lost! AHHHHHHHHH! I lost 2 lbs last week which brought me down 74.8 freaking pounds! Yeah me but I really wanted that 75 lbs! I am determined to get it next week for sure. Crossing my fingers! It could be a very eventful week...fill ya in later if it happens!

WI Week 41

Well, not too bad of a WI this week. I'm down 1.6 lbs for a grand "official" WW total of 72.8 lbs! Only 2.2 to go until I hit 75 lbs! What a long journey especially when I see week 41 up there but slow but steady and have done very well considering my hypothyroidism. Speaking of which, I got my 3 month test results and my TSH levels were actually too low! That's the first time in almost 2 years but I'm not feeling any palpitations or hot flashes indicating hyperthyroidism but it's still not good because you can get advanced osteoporosis and a lot of other scary problems from being hyper so my doctor dropped my dose for the next 3 months and we'll see then what I'm at. Hopefully down another 30 lbs by then! That would be so great if I was down my 100 lbs by the time I see the doc again. :-)

I was so excited the other day at work because I got my first "Are you sick or something?" comment!!! I knew it was only a matter of time before those started up and I loved it! It was my regional manager at my work and I hadn't seen him for a while. He said I looked great! Yay me!

So my plan for this week 42 is to work my ass off and make a good run at getting to my goals. That would be so great if I could do it. I will "try" to not drink this weekend although lately, that's been very challenging but I recognize I am taking in a lot of useless calories by doing this. If something happens and I have to go out I will definitely try to keep it to a minimum and keep focused on my goals. Easter is coming up and it's right in the time where I'm coming up to so many milestones in my WL...I may have to be on my best behaviour for the next 2 weeks just to counteract that damage. A walk at the farm will definitely be in order I think.

Well, that's it for today...I'm off to bed!

WI Results for the Ides of March!!!

After a couple of less than stellar WI's (gain 1.2, loss .4) I had a GREAT loss at the meeting yesterday. I lost 5.4! I couldn't even believe my eyes when I saw that and asked the leader is that what I think it says???

Okay so part 2 of my exciting day was I went to Wal-mart and braved the "regular sized" clothes section and was curious to see if I could fit anything over there yet. To my shock and astonishment I was able to fit into a size 14 jeans! That's right, no more plus size pants for me! I wasn't supposed to be spending my money on pants yesterday but I just couldn't leave my NSV in the store. I'm wearing them at work today and I can still breathe and I didn't even have to lay on the floor to get them done up...they just did up!!! Woo-Hoo!!!

I have lots of huge milestone goals coming up, hopefully very soon and you will see me bragging all over the message boards. I can't freaking wait!!!! So up until yesterday my official WW total loss is 71.2 pounds! At work today, I grabbed a 5 gallon pail of paint and put a box of 2 gallons of paint on top of it and that's how much weight I've lost! It's so freaking heavy it's no wonder I almost died when I first started exercising last summer. Well that's it for me for now...going to the gym tonight...determined to lose more weight this week!

Late update...sorry! :-)

Sorry I missed last week's WI...it was nothing spectacular. Down .4, ah well, you can't win 'em all.

Hoping for some good numbers this week and my mid week peek at the scale is looking good so far. I went to the gym tonight and did an hour of cardio and I'm a sweaty mess now.

Mom called and said our Rod Stewart tickets came in the mail, I'm so excited!!! My goal is to be at my 75 lbs down by then so I have another 9.2 lbs to lose before the end of April. I certainly hope I can accomplish that.

Okay, just wanted to get a little update in here. I will be back on Thursday for WI day for sure. Goodnight!

UFC 68 and a running NSV!!

I am still recovering from a crazy, monumental, historic, freaking AWESOME fight last night. I have been anxiously waiting for this fight because my favorite fighter EVER came out of retirement to fight Tim Sylvia for the UFC heavyweight championship belt and all I can say is WOW!!!!!! I was pretty worried before the fight because Tim is a huge motherf***** and Randy is 43 years old, clearly the underdog...older and a good head shorter than Tim. Well from the first 10 seconds until the bitter end of 5 rounds, Randy TOTALLY DOMINATED the match and it was awesome. My ex came over to watch and we were freaking out and screaming it was such a great fight! I watched the entire card again today and have watched the title fight 3 times now because I still can't believe it. I heart Randy Couture and you couldn't find a more humble and kind athlete. The best I've ever seen him fight that's for sure.

Whew! Can't stop thinking about it...sorry! Anyway, back to this weight loss thing. I was up 1.2 at WI this week but it was to be expected. Some water retention issues and brunch on Sunday but I know it's only temporary and I will bounce back in no time. Unfortunately the chinese food from fight night might not help my situation for WI this week but if it's less than stellar, again I will understand why. To try and counteract some of the damage I thought I had better get my butt to the Y so I went and had a major accomplishment today! I told myself I would jog at 5.0 for 3 songs on my MP3 player but at the end of the third one I felt great so I thought I would run for one more song. I always try to not look at my time while I'm jogging so by the time the fourth song was over I had jogged for 20 minutes straight!!!!! That is an incredible accomplishment for me as the longest I've been able to run is 12 minutes straight and a total of 17 minutes throughout the workout so to go for 20 minutes straight...I'm very proud of myself. Yay me! I will be getting exercise every day until WI so I can try to at least eliminate my gain from last week. Hanging in there!
